DBSC O35: A Las Vegas Championship Weekend

From July 18 to 21, 2024, Di Bufala Sport Club’s O35 men’s team competed in a futsal championship in Las Vegas. The team left the weekend with the title after a run of close group matches and an 11–2 win over JH Kelly in the final.

The route to the final

Di Bufala opened with a 5–0 win against City X FA, then drew 5–5 with JH Kelly. A 7–2 result against Colorado Futsal Academy followed. The last group match, against Top Notch, ended 1–1—enough to send the team into the final against JH Kelly.

The final brought the two sides together again. Di Bufala won 11–2 to finish the tournament as champions. The score is a clear record of that match; the weekend as a whole asked the players to reset and prepare for the next game each time they left the court.

The O35 squad

The team was Geraldo “Preto,” Leonardo, Daniel, Renato, Everton, Guilherme, Henrique, Tulio and goalkeeper Emerson “Popeye.” Tulio served as interim coach for the tournament.

This is one chapter in a club that has competed across generations since 1989. We are proud of the O35 group and the work they put into this championship. The result belongs to the players who represented Di Bufala in Las Vegas.
